Low Maintenance Flowerbeds

Gardening can be easy, but it is not something that is effortless.  It takes effort to build a new flower bed and to plant flowers in it.  But there are some things you can do to lessen the amount of time you spend caring for your plants.  The main thing you can do is be selective on which flowers you plant.  Some flowers take less care than others.  All the plants listed below require less maintenance and care than others.  This doesn't mean you can plant them and never have to do anything to maintain them.  They still need water, fertilizer, and attention, but you will spend less time taking care of them than you would some other flowers.  

Ageratum, Begonias, Dusty Miller, Gazanias, Melampodium, Portulaca, Vinca, Angelonia, Sun Coleus, Evolvulus, Ipomea, Lantana, Mexican Heather, Purslane, Scaevola, Blue Salvia, and Calibrachoas.
