Indoor Houseplants

House plants should be placed in different areas of your house depending on the plants' light requirements.  Low light plants like African violets and ZZ plants should be placed near a window that faces north.  Medium light plants like caletha and aglomenas should be placed near a window that faces east.  High light plants like palms, ferns, cacti and succlents need to be near a west or south facing window.  Most house plants need to be watered about once a week.  Succlents should be watered ever two weeks.  Cacti should only be watered once a month or less.  Fertilize your house plants two or maybe three times a year with a slow release fertilizer like Osmocote.
